Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piechocki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Schmidt throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Piechocki .
Piechocki gets caught flat footed, as Schmidt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Schmidt is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Schmidt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Schmidt throws a big elbow that misses.
Piechocki wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piechocki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Schmidt kicks off Piechocki and gets to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schmidt connects with a high kick.
Schmidt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Piechocki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Schmidt fails with the takedown.
Schmidt rushes Piechocki and presses him up against the cage.

Piechocki works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Schmidt uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Piechocki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Piechocki lands in his opponent's guard.
Piechocki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Piechocki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Schmidt wants to stand but Piechocki is controlling the position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Piechocki keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schmidt's head.
Piechocki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Piechocki lands a couple of elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Piechocki landing some decent shots from guard.
Schmidt is rocked!
Piechocki postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Schmidt covers up, he's hurt! Piechocki keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Piechocki and the ref steps in to end the fight! Piechocki can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
