Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamiwe Kamanula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamanula has chosen LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tamiwe Kamanula will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Drake! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tamiwe Kamanula! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drake tries to clinch but Kamanula is having none of it. Drake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Drake avoids the head kick by Kamanula.
Drake wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Drake fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kamanula scores with a hook.
It looks like Frankie Drake has been cut. Kamanula tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drake went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kamanula lands a leg kick that knocks Drake off balance momentarily. A slow jab from Kamanula misses its intended target. Drake feinted there with a counter leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kamanula throws a head kick but Drake moves out of range.
Drake is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kamanula sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kamanula scoring well with a low kick there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kamanula thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Drake if he has to take too many more of those.
We've been informed that Kamanula has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kamanula connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Drake to the floor! Kamanula dives in looking for the finish!
Drake is rocked! Drake wants to improve his position but Kamanula is controlling well.
Oh Drake is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Drake seems to have got his legs back now. Drake is working hard here to advance position. This has been an exciting period of action! Drake preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Drake is trying to maintain the position but Kamanula is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake won't allow Kamanula to pass to mount. Kamanula postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Drake to stand up. Drake checks the leg kick. A head kick misses from Kamanula. A bone on bone clash there as Drake blocks the leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kamanula. Drake jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Kamanula thows a body kick. Drake tries to catch it but that hurt him. Drake shoots in and drives through. Kamanula sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frankie Drake. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kamanula throws a head kick that half lands.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kamanula, right into the meat.

Drake chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kamanula can pounce on him.
Drake looking to score a takedown here. Kamanula is defending well but Drake drives through and ends up in Kamanula's guard. Drake is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Drake throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kamanula works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Drake stops Kamanula from standing up. Kamanula is looking to stand back up but Drake counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kamanula.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Drake stops Kamanula from getting back to his feet.
Drake is thwarting Kamanula's attempts to control the position. Drake throwing shots but Kamanula is blocking nicely. Drake is looking to advance position but Kamanula won't allow it. Drake landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Drake looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Drake seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Drake prevents Kamanula from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tamiwe Kamanula dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frankie Drake's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kamanula fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Drake has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Drake shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kamanula swats away the attempt to clinch by Drake. A head kick from Kamanula lands but Drake takes it in his stride. A head kick by Kamanula misses letting Drake counter with a right hand. Tamiwe Kamanula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kamanula misses with an uppercut
and Drake counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kamanula thinking. Kamanula throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kamanula pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Drake goes for a double leg but Kamanula avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kamanula continues to drive forward. Kamanula lets loose with a powerful body kick. Drake will feel that in the morning. Drake scores with a takedown into Kamanula's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake wants to control from the top but Kamanula keeps moving. Kamanula keeping full guard, as Drake tries to pass. Drake won't allow Kamanula to get back to his feet. Drake tries to free his leg and advance position but Kamanula is retaining full guard. Kamanula wants to hit a switch here but Drake passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kamanula there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Drake landing strikes from the mount and Kamanula is in trouble! Kamanula tries to lock up and control but Drake gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drake working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kamanula has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kamanula keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Drake avoids the attempt from Kamanula to control. Drake jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kamanula manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kamanula is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake is looking to take a break and control but Kamanula is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kamanula stops Drake from passing to mount. Kamanula is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kamanula bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Tamiwe Kamanula is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. An inside leg kick from Kamanula misses. Kamanula misses with a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake misses with a hook. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kamanula.
Kamanula misses with a low kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Drake crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kamanula - the referee stops the clock and Drake gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kamanula. Drake manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kamanula chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Drake gets a clinch. Drake pulls Kamanula into guard.
Drake is adopting a defensive guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Drake doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kamanula must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Drake keeping moving, preventing Kamanula from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tamiwe Kamanula will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Frankie Drake's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Drake motions for Kamanula to come forward. Drake throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A slapping body kick lands there for Kamanula. Kamanula moves away from the strike by Drake. Kamanula tries a quick counter leg kick but Drake is wise to it. Kamanula throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Drake stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kamanula follows into mount! Kamanula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Drake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kamanula is trying to control the action in half guard but Drake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kamanula might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Drake haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kamanula is pressing down on Drake's thigh, looking to free his foot. Drake is holding on for now. The fighters are battling for position here. Drake manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Drake is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kamanula frees his head nicely. Oh but Drake has switched to an armbar! Kamanula is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
