Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Savage ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Harris! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage misses with a series of wild punches.
Harris takes a swing at Savage 's ribcage but misses. Harris tries to move into range but Savage moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Harris slips a jab and a cross from Savage .
Harris takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Harris looks to land a right hand but Savage moved out of range. Some wild striking there from Savage .
Savage slips under a jab. It looked like Savage was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Harris. Savage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively. Harris avoids the body shot from Savage .
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Harris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Savage on the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloppy strikes from Savage . Those never looked like landing. Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away. Savage scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Savage rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Harris counters with a one-two to the body. Savage looks to land a right hand but Harris moved out of range. Harris takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Harris counters with a series of strikes. Savage will be more careful next time no doubt. Harris takes one to the chin there. Savage falls off balance throwing a combination
and Harris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harris. Savage 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Savage throws a series of punches but Harris avoids them all with ease. Savage throws a left and a right that both miss
and Harris counters with a lovely shot to the body. Savage misses with a jab, cross combination.
Harris takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Harris misses with an uppercut. Savage saw that one coming. Savage throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Savage is rocked! Savage takes a swing at Harris's ribcage but misses. Savage throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Harris counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Savage goes down! Harris rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Savage is up to one knee.... 8,9....10! He didn't make it! This fight is over!
