Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joyo Kumlakar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Zalac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zalac is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Survival - Eminem. Alen Zalac will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joyo Kumlakar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alen Zalac! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kumlakar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zalac looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kumlakar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kumlakar swings around for an armbar but Zalac sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kumlakar's guard. Zalac throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kumlakar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zalac must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Zalac slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kumlakar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kumlakar can't do much from the bottom here. Kumlakar is looking to reverse the position. A bit of a lull in the action here. Zalac postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kumlakar is trying to control Zalac's posture but Zalac avoids it. Kumlakar manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zalac thows a huge punch but Kumlakar dodges it nicely.
Zalac wants to work for an arm triangle but Kumlakar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zalac looks winded! Kumlakar is positioning himself well to prevent Zalac advancing to mount. Kumlakar trying to control from the bottom.
Zalac seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kumlakar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kumlakar tries to roll over but Zalac keeps him under control. Kumlakar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kumlakar working a defensive guard here.
Zalac throws a strike but Kumlakar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kumlakar won't allow Zalac to get back to his feet. Zalac can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kumlakar controls the pace. Kumlakar trying to control the position from guard on top but Zalac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kumlakar looking to pass the guard. Kumlakar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Zalac keeping moving, preventing Kumlakar from controlling successfully. Kumlakar sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kumlakar slaps away a takedown attempt from Zalac, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kumlakar instigates a clinch. Kumlakar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kumlakar cracks Zalac with an elbow. That is naaassty. Zalac trying to remain calm as Kumlakar controls from the top position. Kumlakar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zalac keeps working. Kumlakar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kumlakar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kumlakar is looking to take a break and control but Zalac is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zalac is trying to improve his position. Zalac is not content to let Kumlakar control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joyo Kumlakar dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Zalac tries to clinch there but Kumlakar circles away.
Kumlakar misses with a jab, cross combination.
Despite the aggression on Zalac's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Kumlakar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zalac is trying to defend but Kumlakar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Zalac is holding on to half guard well. Kumlakar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kumlakar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Further stalling from Kumlakar. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kumlakar wants to take a breather but Zalac is having none of it. Zalac is breathing heavily. Joyo Kumlakar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kumlakar stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kumlakar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zalac.
Kumlakar drives through with a takedown into guard. Kumlakar advances position into side control! Kumlakar tries to move into full mount but can't pass Zalac's legs. Kumlakar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zalac will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kumlakar is trying to get an arm triangle but Zalac is defending well. Kumlakar has an Americana. Zalac didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kumlakar is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kumlakar hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Joyo Kumlakar!
