Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lord Sake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remigijus Morkevicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remigijus Morkevicius has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lord Sake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Remigijus Morkevicius! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sake shoots in for a takedown but Morkevicius shows good takedown defense. Morkevicius has Sake up against the cage in a clinch.

Sake definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Morkevicius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Morkevicius lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Sake is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morkevicius pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sake is keeping the position for now. Morkevicius wants to stand but Sake has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Morkevicius postures up in Sake's guard and throws a big left but Sake blocks it.

Morkevicius seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sake holds on and takes a little breather. Morkevicius is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. My spies in Cozad MMA Tokyo inform me that Morkevicius has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sake has his takedown stuffed and Morkevicius counters by moving into the clinch. Sake is breathing heavily. Morkevicius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lord Sake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morkevicius drives through and clinches with Sake against the cage.

Morkevicius tries for a takedown but Sake sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Morkevicius fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Sake shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Morkevicius as he jumps to the side. Sake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Morkevicius counters with a nice leg kick. Morkevicius looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sake is fending him off so far but Morkevicius persists. Nope, Sake circles away and we're back to standing. Morkevicius clinches. Sake is trying to drag Morkevicius to the mat but Morkevicius just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Morkevicius has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sake clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sake trying to control the hands but Morkevicius breaks the grip. Morkevicius keeps control of the position easily here as Sake tries to buck him off.

Morkevicius lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Morkevicius darts in and clinches Sake up against the cage. Sake fails to pull guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sake is trying to control Morkevicius's posture but Morkevicius avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sake is looking to reverse the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sake is trying to control Morkevicius's posture but Morkevicius avoids it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Morkevicius has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Lord Sake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morkevicius throws a quick inside leg kick. Remigijus Morkevicius is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Morkevicius fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Remigijus Morkevicius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Morkevicius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
