The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rana throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kilkenny's waist but Kilkenny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rana off to one side.
Kilkenny is trying to counter with his kicks.
Rana shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rana showed some decent athleticism there.
Rana is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rana tries to pass to full mount but Kilkenny defends it.
Kilkenny is looking to control Rana's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kilkenny avoid being mounted?
Rana definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kilkenny does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kilkenny has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Rana is trying for a kimura here. Kilkenny looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Rana wins by kimura!
