Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Edmundo Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Adams!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack slaps away a takedown attempt from Adams, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Adams lands with an uppercut that bounces Mack off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Edmundo Mack has been cut.
Adams misses with a body shot.
Adams throws a lazy head kick
and Mack counters with a shoot takedown. Adams fights it but they end up in guard.
Mack lands a couple of digs.
Adams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack throws a big elbow that misses.
Mack throwing strikes but missing.
Adams has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA London. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mack stops Adams from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mack throws a big right hand that misses.
Mack decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Adams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Adams fails to pull guard.
Adams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mack just stands there and leans against the cage.
Edmundo Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vincent Adams.
Mack jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Mack gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Adams scores with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adams gets tackled into the cage by Mack. Mack maintains the clinch.
Mack has Adams pressed against the cage, preventing Adams from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Adams tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mack smiles and moves away.
Adams lands a left and a right that send Mack crashing to the mat, dazed. Adams thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mack is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mack walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Mack limp body while Adams jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vincent Adams!
