The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm throws a lazy uppercut

and Simpson moves into the clinch.
Storm doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Simpson tries to pull guard but Storm holds him up against the cage and eventually Simpson drops back down to his feet.
Simpson can't get the takedown.

Simpson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Storm has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Simpson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Simpson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Storm to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Homer Simpson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Simpson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Storm pulls his leg out and moves away.
Storm throws a combination that misses

and Simpson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Simpson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Storm is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Simpson stops Storm from standing up.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Storm manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Simpson pulls guard successfully.

Storm wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Simpson's closed guard. He's half up but Simpson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Simpson pivots and extends the arm, Storm falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Simpson! Well done that man!

A very excited looking Homer Simpson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
