The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rodriguez quickly recovers to half guard.
Johnson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rodriguez defend it? Johnson steps over the head and cranks it - Rodriguez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johnson!
