Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cristobal Donaldson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dolph Keller! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Keller moves into the clinch. Keller struggles to land a body shot inside as Donaldson controls his hands.

Donaldson tries to break the clinch but Keller is controlling the position. Donaldson tries to circle away but Keller has him pinned against the cage. Keller breaks from the clinch.
Donaldson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donaldson tries to sprawl but Keller drives through with a takedown into half guard. Keller prevents Donaldson from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keller stalling. Donaldson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keller is trying to control the action in half guard but Donaldson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Donaldson is trying to stand up here but Keller is controlling him well. Keller stands up and beckons Donaldson to join him on the feet. Keller closes the distance and clinches. Donaldson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Keller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Donaldson's efforts to push away. Donaldson is looking to break free of the clinch but Keller has double underhooks. Keller tightens his grip and picks Donaldson up, before dumping him to the ground. Donaldson manages to land in guard. Donaldson really is a fat lump.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donaldson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Donaldson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Keller manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Donaldson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Keller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Donaldson was well out of range. Poor timing from Keller. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Keller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Donaldson sprawls well initially but Keller persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Keller controlling the action here. Donaldson is refusing to be controlled, as Keller sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keller thows a huge punch but Donaldson dodges it nicely.
Donaldson is trying to stand.
Keller wants to pass the guard but Donaldson is defending well. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Keller is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Keller scores with a head kick. Donaldson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Cristobal Donaldson has been cut. Keller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Keller breaks from the clinch.
Keller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Keller throws a body shot but no joy. Donaldson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Donaldson gets caught flat footed, as Keller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Donaldson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Keller manages to pass to side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Keller wants to stand up but Donaldson is controlling the position.

Dolph Keller dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cristobal Donaldson's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Keller throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Sloppy strikes from Donaldson. Those never looked like landing. Keller throws a big counter head kick but Donaldson avoids it with no problem. Donaldson takes the fight into the clinch. Keller decides to pull guard. Donaldson is looking to stand up but Keller won't let him. Keller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Donaldson manages to get himself to full guard.
Keller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donaldson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Donaldson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keller looking to sit in guard and control but Donaldson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keller is working an open guard so Donaldson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Keller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Donaldson was covering up waiting for the punch and Keller finishes the takedown easily into guard. Donaldson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Keller is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Keller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Keller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Keller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Keller has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Keller has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Keller moves into the clinch. Donaldson is trying to push Keller away but Keller has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Keller prevents Donaldson from breaking the clinch. Donaldson tries to break the clinch but Keller is controlling the position. Keller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Keller being controlled here, momentarily. Keller is trying to control the position but Donaldson postures up. Dolph Keller has got the better of the ground game so far. Donaldson is looking to stand up but Keller won't let him. Donaldson controlling from the top position. Donaldson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Keller wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Donaldson misses with a series of wild punches.
Keller scores with a jab. Donaldson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Donaldson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Keller takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Donaldson throws a nice looking combination but Keller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Donaldson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Keller darts in and clinches Donaldson up against the cage. Keller breaks from the clinch.
Keller takes the fight into the clinch. Keller has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Donaldson uses from the top position. Donaldson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Keller is breathing heavily. Donaldson controls from within his opponent's guard. Donaldson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Keller is keeping the position for now. and Keller counters with a series of strikes. Donaldson will be more careful next time no doubt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Donaldson enables Keller to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Donaldson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Keller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donaldson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Keller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Keller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Donaldson has Keller pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keller trying to control but Donaldson is working from the bottom. Donaldson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Keller is controlling him. Keller looking to pass the guard. Donaldson is pulling down on Keller's head. It's preventing any offense from Keller, at least for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Keller showed some decent athleticism there. Donaldson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Donaldson is not content to let Keller control the position. Donaldson is trying to stand up here but Keller is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Keller keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Donaldson is looking to escape. Keller decides to stand and escape the position. Keller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Keller won't allow Donaldson to get back to his feet. Keller advances to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keller is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
