Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trey Montauk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lewsk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Lewsk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Trey Montauk !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Lewsk!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montauk tries to clinch up.
It seemed like Lewsk was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Montauk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Montauk looks for a takedown but Lewsk sprawls well.

Lewsk clinches up with Montauk and pushes him back against the cage.
Lewsk lands an elbow that stopped Montauk in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Trey Montauk has been cut.
Lewsk is trying to pull guard but Montauk has him pressed against the cage.

Montauk drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewsk wants to stand but Montauk is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Montauk looking for a guillotine here but Lewsk defends easily.
Lewsk trying to control the position from guard on top but Montauk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lewsk postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Montauk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lewsk, into his guard.


Montauk stands up and waves to Lewsk to follow him.
Lewsk scores with a three punch combo!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Montauk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lewsk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Montauk shoots in for a double leg but Lewsk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trey Montauk . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Montauk throws a sloppy head kick and Lewsk moves out of range easily.
Lewsk is looking for the big counter here.
Montauk tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lewsk lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Montauk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Montauk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Montauk fails with the takedown
and Lewsk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Montauk misses with a takedown attempt

and Lewsk counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Montauk is breathing heavily.
Lewsk is taking a breather. Montauk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lewsk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Montauk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Montauk controlling the position for now.

Lewsk decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Lewsk slips a straight right by Montauk .
Montauk with a lazy takedown attempt

and Lewsk counters by moving into the clinch.

Lewsk lands a takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lewsk gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lewsk has managed to clinch.
Montauk has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lewsk after a bit of a struggle.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lewsk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lewsk gets control of Montauk 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lewsk will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lewsk wants to sweep here but Montauk controlling him for the moment.

Lewsk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Montauk is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lewsk has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Montauk is looking to defend but Lewsk has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Montauk ! Lewsk pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Montauk taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Matt Lewsk!
