Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marjorie Dawes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steller has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ben Steller enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marjorie Dawes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Steller! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steller tries to close the distance and clinch but Dawes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dawes tries for a takedown but Steller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dawes needs to keep his hands up - Steller had a free shot at his head there. Dawes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dawes fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marjorie Dawes. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steller shoots in for a takedown but Dawes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Steller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dawes tries to avoid it but Steller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dawes to the ground. Dawes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dawes tries to counter with a takedown but Steller is quick to defend against it. Steller looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Steller! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steller can do anything to dispel that myth. Dawes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Steller, who protects the arm well. Steller is not content to let Dawes control the position. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dawes is looking to take a break and control but Steller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Steller takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Dawes working the ground and pound from side control. Dawes moves into full mount! Steller is squirming around, avoiding Dawes's attempts to control the action. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dawes landing strikes from the mount. Dawes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Steller has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dawes quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Dawes but it's paid off an Steller is forced to tap! Nice work by Dawes.
