Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rey Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levita M (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rey Nelson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Levita M!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

M closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nelson to the mat! Nelson manages to get full guard.
Nelson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. M manages to get himself to full guard.
Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

M wriggles free and stands up.
M has a takedown stuffed.

Nelson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
M tries to kick Nelson off but Nelson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
M trying to get back to full guard but Nelson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee warns M that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nelson avoids the attempt from M to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nelson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
M swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Nelson looking to control and managing it successfully.

Nelson working for a guillotine from mount but M is in no mood to give up.
Nelson is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nelson content just to control the position here.
Nelson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Nelson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down M for as long as he can get away with.
Nelson avoids the attempt from M to control.
Nelson controlling the position easily from mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nelson really is a fat lump.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Rey Nelson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
M fails with the takedown

and Nelson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nelson is stalling in the full guard.
M tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rey Nelson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


M lands a nice shot to the body.
M throws a leg kick but Nelson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
M tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson throws a right and a left that M avoids nicely.
M throws a head kick that misses

and Nelson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for M!

Nelson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nelson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
M throws a leg kick but Nelson sees it coming and moves out of range.
M wants to clinch up but Nelson keeps it at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
M with a poor takedown

so Nelson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Nelson distracts M with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
M wants to stand and escape but Nelson is having none of it.
Nelson works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Nelson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
M tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

M gets caught flat footed, as Nelson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Nelson forces his way into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
M trying to control but Nelson postures up.
M tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Nelson manages to move to mount!
Nelson controlling his opponent.
Nelson mounts M! Really nice guard pass there!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
M tries to lock up and control but Nelson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
M is trying desperately to improve position.

Nelson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. M looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Nelson! Submission of the night perhaps?
