The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kermode looks to land a right hand but Hong moved out of range.
Hong tries to counter with a takedown but Kermode is quick to defend against it.

Hong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kermode quickly recovers to half guard.

Hong is nestled in close to Kermode, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kermode is refusing to be controlled, as Hong sits in half guard.
Hong throwing shots but Kermode is blocking nicely.
Hong looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hong thows a huge punch but Kermode dodges it nicely.
Kermode has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hong is working away from the top position though.

Kermode wants to get back to full guard.
Kermode makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kermode.
Hong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kermode wants to sweep but no luck.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tonton Hong dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hong throws a looping overhand right but Kermode ducks down to avoid it.
Hong has been working on his balance at Mandirigmang Pilipino, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kermode.
Kermode scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Tonton Hong has been cut.
Hong staying out of range there.
Kermode lands a lovely overhand right.
Kermode takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kermode throws a body kick that misses.
Hong moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kermode throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hong cracks Kermode with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kermode looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hong finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hong flashes Kermode a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Kermode's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Kermode crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Hong punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tonton Hong!
Tonton Hong bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
