Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scot Blennerhassett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heston Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Black Helicopters. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scot Blennerhassett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Heston Gracie! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Blennerhassett checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Blennerhassett is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it. Blennerhassett is looking for a sweep. Blennerhassett is not content to let Gracie control the position. The ground and pound from Gracie seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie has knee on belly and moves into mount. Gracie throws some wild stikes that Blennerhassett manages to avoid easily.
Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gracie scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blennerhassett is looking to escape. Blennerhassett tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Blennerhassett prevents Gracie from taking his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Blennerhassett is on top in guard.
Blennerhassett showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Blennerhassett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blennerhassett wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blennerhassett stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blennerhassett! Gracie tries to buck Blennerhassett off but Blennerhassett is having none of it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You can see the frustration on Gracie's face as Blennerhassett controls the position. Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gracie is trying to control Blennerhassett's posture but Blennerhassett avoids it. A lull in the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie wants to control but Blennerhassett postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Heston Gracie will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Blennerhassett. Blennerhassett obviously looking to wear him down.
Blennerhassett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gracie. Blennerhassett throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily. Nice defenses there by Gracie. Blennerhassett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gracie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Blennerhassett's guard. Gracie wants to control from the top but Blennerhassett keeps moving. Blennerhassett can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blennerhassett is trying to control but Gracie passes into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Blennerhassett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blennerhassett gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Blennerhassett tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control. Gracie trying to control the action but Blennerhassett is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blennerhassett is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Blennerhassett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie trying to advance position but Blennerhassett counters by regaining guard. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Blennerhassett is keeping the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blennerhassett holds on and takes a little breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Blennerhassett trying to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gracie keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Gracie shoots in and drives through. Blennerhassett sprawls well. Gracie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Blennerhassett counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gracie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Blennerhassett gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Blennerhassett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Blennerhassett. Gracie feints the counter takedown. Gracie takes one to the chin there. Blennerhassett checks the leg kick. Gracie misses with a right hand and Blennerhassett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Blennerhassett scores with a kick to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie lands with a cross. Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Scot Blennerhassett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gracie connects with a body shot. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gracie dives in and grabs Blennerhassett's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blennerhassett pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out. A quick step to the side and Blennerhassett tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Scot Blennerhassett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heston Gracie. Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blennerhassett's waist but Blennerhassett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side. Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blennerhassett sees it coming and avoids it easily. A little feinted left hand from Blennerhassett on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Heston Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gracie misses with a hook
and Blennerhassett counters with an inside leg kick. Blennerhassett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gracie. Gracie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gracie throws a lazy right hand but Blennerhassett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Blennerhassett tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gracie manages to circle out of the way. Gracie throws a poor cross that misses
and Blennerhassett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Blennerhassett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gracie. Gracie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Blennerhassett on the side of the head. Blennerhassett ducks under a wild hook from Gracie. Sloppy strikes from Blennerhassett. Those never looked like landing. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Blennerhassett, right into the meat.
Scot Blennerhassett is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blennerhassett lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Blennerhassett keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Blennerhassett dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Blennerhassett is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Gracie misses. A lazy left from Blennerhassett finds it's target. Gracie misses with a leg kick. Blennerhassett scores with a decent looking hook. Blennerhassett moves out of range of the strikes. Blennerhassett slips a jab and a cross from Gracie.
Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Blennerhassett. A nice leg kick lands there from Blennerhassett. Gracie goes for a double leg but Blennerhassett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blennerhassett continues to drive forward. Blennerhassett tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gracie manages to circle out of the way. Blennerhassett tries a head kick but it misses.
A little jabbing left from Gracie on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Gracie misses with a two punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie loads up on a big right hand but Blennerhassett slips the punch. Gracie throws a hook but Blennerhassett avoids it easily. A jab from Gracie misses. Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blennerhassett tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blennerhassett to the ground. Blennerhassett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Blennerhassett looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Gracie throws a head kick but Blennerhassett moves out of range.
Blennerhassett appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Gracie lands a really nice looking cross but Blennerhassett seems unphased.

Blennerhassett lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand. Gracie misses with a looping left. Blennerhassett is looking to counter the offense by Gracie and move into the clinch. Blennerhassett has managed to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blennerhassett lands a right hand. Blennerhassett lands a body shot in the clinch.
Gracie looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Blennerhassett lands a nice uppercut. Blennerhassett presses Gracie against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Blennerhassett lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Gracie gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Blennerhassett regains guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blennerhassett keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie postures up.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Blennerhassett is keeping the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A punch lands to the side of Blennerhassett 's head but he takes it in his stride. Blennerhassett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Blennerhassett.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scot Blennerhassett. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Scot Blennerhassett! A relieved looking Scot Blennerhassett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
