Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Banno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Dunas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunas takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Banno is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dunas sees it coming and defends easily.
Banno is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dunas felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

I was talking to Banno's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dunas creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dunas unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Banno! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Dunas is unloading with more strikes now! Banno drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
