The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lott rushes Dantes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lott manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dantes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dantes is looking to work some ground and pound but Lott has wrist control.
Lott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dantes lands a couple of digs.
Dantes postures up in Lott's guard and throws a big left but Lott blocks it.
Dantes throws a strike but Lott rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dantes is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lott frees his head nicely. Oh but Dantes has switched to an armbar! Lott is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
