Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nestor Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen skillet ~ monster as his entrance music. Desmond Nelson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Desmond Nelson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Giles rushes Nelson and presses him up against the cage. Nelson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Giles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giles drives through and clinches with Nelson against the cage.

Giles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away. Nelson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Giles gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Nelson is trying to break the clinch but Giles is controlling him. Nestor Giles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Giles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nelson somewhat. Giles gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nestor Giles dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Giles is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Well, if Giles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
