The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sutter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
John Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Simmons tries to bum rush Sutter with a series of wild strikes but Sutter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sutter walks straight into a right hand from Simmons - that's dropped him! Simmons jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sutter from any more punishment! Sutter complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
