The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dobson is looking to land body kicks. Man is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Man throws a leg kick but Dobson sees it coming and checks it nicely. Man shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Man seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Man not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Man is trying to control. Dobson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dobson desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobson tries to roll over but Man keeps him under control. Man not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Man trying to control from half guard but Dobson is working away. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Man misses the body punch enabling Dobson to counter with a crisp jab. We've been told by Dobson's head coaches at Cutthroat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Man jabs at Dobson's body. Man throws a push kick but Dobson slaps the foot to one side. Dobson throws a jab but it's blocked by Man. Dobson moves out of range of the body kick from Man.
Dobson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Man jabs Dobson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Man scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dobson doesn't seem bothered though. Man throws a push kick but Dobson slaps the foot to one side. Dobson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man misses with a shot to the body and Dobson counters with a nice uppercut. Dobson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dobson blocks the body kick.
Dobson throws a jab when Man was well out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Dobson does a little dance to reset his feet. Dobson connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Man changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dobson misses with a body kick. Man drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dobson defends it well. Dobson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Man wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A left and a right from Dobson both land. Nice combination. A left lands for Man. Man is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dobson rather than just go for the knockout. Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Dobson is just out of range. Dobson throws a head kick that misses. Dobson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Man. Man lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Man ducks right into an uppercut from Dobson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Man tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dobson defends well and Man ends up having to push Dobson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Man takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Super Man has been cut. Dobson lands with an uppercut that bounces Man off the cage and back into range.

Dobson is looking to land body kicks. Super Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dobson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Man scores with the left hand. Dobson knows he should have avoided that one. Dobson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Man comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Dobson misses with a wild body shot. Man lands with a shot to the body.

Man dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dobson ducks under a wild hook from Man. It appears Dobson was looking to counter with a kick there. Man misses with a body shot
and Dobson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dobson looks to score with a jab to the body but Man is just out of range. Man throws a body shot but no joy. Dobson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Man.
Dobson throws a lazy right hand but Man sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man scores with a hook to the body. Dobson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Man lands a nice looking body shot.
Man moves out of range as Dobson strikes. A slow jab from Dobson misses its intended target. Dobson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dobson half committed to a counter leg kick. Man wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Man scores with a jab to the body. Dobson throws a poor cross that misses
and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dobson avoids the body shot from Man.
Dobson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Man doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man misses with a wild body shot. A decent looking body kick lands there for Man. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Man. A jab from Dobson misses. A countering left hand to the body from Man misses. Dobson tries to sprawl but Man drives through with a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Man passes to side control. Dobson is not content to let Man control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Super Man will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Super Man's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dobson throws the kick towards the body but Man avoids it. Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Dobson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Man closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dobson's guard. Dobson is adopting a defensive guard. Man wants to control from the top but Dobson keeps moving. Man is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dobson trying to keep a closed guard but Man is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Man has his hands clasped together but Dobson extends and breaks Man's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dobson.
