Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Spiteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spiteri comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC -TNT. Hale has chosen Dead Sara - Weatherman as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Brandon Hale enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Spiteri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Hale!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Spiteri misses.
Spiteri bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hale's head.
Spiteri shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hale misses with a left hand

and Spiteri holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Spiteri can't get the takedown.
Spiteri blocking some punches.
Hale tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hale is working Spiteri over against the cage.

Hale stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Hale tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spiteri was well out of range. Poor timing from Hale.

Spiteri is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hale sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Spiteri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spiteri is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hale to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hale shrugs it off.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Spiteri cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hale is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Spiteri lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hale takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Hale wants to hold on but Spiteri pushes him away.

Spiteri goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hale is on top in guard.
Hale is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hale stands and steps away. Spiteri gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Spiteri tries to clinch but Hale moves out of range.
Hale throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spiteri lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hale buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hale works Spiteri's body with a nice hook.
Hale misses with a low kick.
Spiteri wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hale takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A combination from Hale does no damage.
Spiteri uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hale has time to react.
Spiteri tries to clinch up.
Hale misses with an uppercut.
Spiteri throws a solid leg kick but Hale takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Spiteri.
Spiteri tries to move into range but Hale moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Spiteri is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hale can do to turn this around?

Hale pulls Spiteri in close to his closed guard and prevents Spiteri from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spiteri works over Hale with some ground and pound from guard.
Spiteri is fighting to break Hale's control of his arms but Hale is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spiteri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Spiteri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hale swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Spiteri stays in close to Hale's body and controls the position.

Hale drops Spiteri with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Spiteri looks back up at him and smiles so Hale waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Spiteri is rocked!


It looks like Dave Spiteri has been cut.
Hale drops Spiteri with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Spiteri! Hale dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Hale!
Brandon Hale decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
