Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jumbo Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Woodhall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mills comes to the cage accompanied by Daniel Cormier - 'All About That Cake'. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jumbo Mills! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Woodhall! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodhall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mills looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mills shoots in but no luck this time. Mills fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Woodhall, pushing him back against the cage. Mills fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jumbo Mills. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mills is pressed up against the cage. Woodhall has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mills down to the mat. Mills avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Woodhall throws a one two combo.
Mills throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mills tries to close the distance and clinch up but Woodhall swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mills goes for a double leg but Woodhall avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woodhall continues to drive forward. Nice sprawl there from Mills as Woodhall shoots in. Woodhall defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mills. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mills.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mills misses with a takedown and Woodhall counters by moving into the clinch. Woodhall can't get the takedown.

Mills has Woodhall pushed against the cage. Woodhall blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Mills taking a breather. Woodhall breaks from the clinch.

Mills leaves Woodhall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Woodhall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mills as he jumps to the side. It looked like Mills was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Mills gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mills letting Woodhall take a breather here. Mills stops a takedown attempt from Woodhall.

Woodhall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mills misses with a takedown and Woodhall makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mills tries to clinch up and Woodhall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mills shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Woodhall as he jumps to the side. Mills misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mills is breathing heavily. Mills wants to clinch up but Woodhall keeps it at a distance. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Woodhall! But no joy. Mills fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Mills. No joy for Woodhall on that attempt. Mills seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Mills tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Woodhall defends well and Mills ends up having to push Woodhall into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Woodhall tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Woodhall shoots in looking for a takedown but Mills manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Woodhall's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mills is looking to counter with a body kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mills is defended easily by Woodhall. Woodhall steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mills. Woodhall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mills will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Woodhall throws out a counter right but Mills avoids it with no problem. Woodhall misses with a takedown attempt and Mills counters with a nice body shot. Mills fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Woodhall has closed the distance and engaged Mills in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mills tries to clinch but Woodhall is having none of it. Mills shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Woodhall counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Woodhall. Woodhall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mills manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Woodhall darts in looking for a takedown but Mills gets double underhooks and turns Woodhall into the cage. Woodhall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Woodhall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jumbo Mills is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice takedown defense from Woodhall. No joy for Mills on that attempt.
