Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Gyeong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Letang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierre Letang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aldo Gyeong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Letang! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Letang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gyeong swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gyeong keeps the fight on the outside. Gyeong changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Letang instigates a clinch. Letang's coach down at Werewolf's cave was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Letang's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Gyeong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gyeong closes the distance and clinches up with Letang, looking for a takedown. Gyeong pushes Letang against the cage but Letang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Letang doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Letang clinches with his opponent.
Gyeong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Letang smiles and moves away.

Gyeong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Letang swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Gyeong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gyeong tries to keep at a distance but Letang has taken the fight into the clinch. Letang lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gyeong backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Come on Letang - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Gyeong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Letang gets a clinch. Letang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gyeong rushes Letang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Letang tries for a takedown but Gyeong manages to get underhooks.
Gyeong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gyeong shoots in for a double leg but Letang sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Letang has taken the fight to the clinch.

Gyeong swats away the attempt to clinch by Letang. Gyeong appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Letang darts in and clinches Gyeong up against the cage. Letang breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gyeong shoots in and drives through. Letang sprawls well. Letang clinches with his opponent.
Letang lands with a light punch inside. This has been an exciting period of action! Letang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Letang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gyeong swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gyeong tries to keep at a distance but Letang has taken the fight into the clinch. Letang tries to break free but Gyeong pushes him back against the cage. Letang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Letang moves into the clinch successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gyeong takes a shot to the head. A short right from Letang. Letang looking to slow down the pace here. Gyeong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Letang gets in close and instigates a clinch. Gyeong pulls Letang into guard.
Gyeong punching to the body, from the bottom. Gyeong wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Gyeong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Letang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Letang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Letang distracts Gyeong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Letang preventing the sweep. Gyeong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gyeong keeping moving, preventing Letang from controlling successfully. Letang throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Letang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gyeong's head. Letang slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Check out the look on Letang's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Letang working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Gyeong wants to get back to his feet. Letang throwing strikes but missing, from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Letang dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Letang counters with a lovely straight right hand! Letang wants to clinch. Letang is looking to clinch. Letang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gyeong swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gyeong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Letang has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Letang closes the distance and clinches. Gyeong has Letang pressed against the cage, preventing Letang from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Letang has a couple of punches blocked by Gyeong.
Letang is trying to maintain a safe position but Gyeong gets an underhook and turns Letang into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Gyeong stalling.

Letang appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Pierre Letang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gyeong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Letang as he avoids it easily. Letang closes the distance and clinches. Gyeong being controlled against the cage. Letang pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Letang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gyeong, pushing him back against the cage. Letang breaks from the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Letang goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gyeong takes an elbow to the temple. Gyeong is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Letang pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Gyeong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Letang works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Letang has gone for a leg lock! Gyeong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Letang's guard.
Gyeong stands and steps away. Letang gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Gyeong shoots in looking for a takedown. Letang tries to sprawl out of it but Gyeong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Letang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Letang wants to clinch up but Gyeong keeps it at a distance. Letang moves into the clinch successfully.

Gyeong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Letang postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Letang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Letang throwing strikes from guard but Gyeong blocks nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Letang with a flurry of punches that miss. Gyeong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Letang working some strikes from top position. Letang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Letang throws a big right hand that misses. Letang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gyeong's head.

Letang lands a couple of digs. Letang throws a big elbow that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Letang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pierre Letang has got the better of the ground game so far. Letang distracts Gyeong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Letang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Gyeong's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A short body shot lands from Letang as the two fighters clinch.
Letang lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gyeong backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gyeong leaning against his opponent.

Pierre Letang seems to be getting the better of the standup. Letang tries to clinch up but Gyeong circles away and keeps his distance. Pierre Letang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Letang looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Letang clinches up with Gyeong and pushes him back against the cage. Gyeong lands a left hand.
Letang tries to work over Gyeong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Letang misses with some punches.
Gyeong wants to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gyeong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Letang can't fight it off and eventually Gyeong manages to take the fight to the floor. Letang looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Letang trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Letang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Letang is working an open guard so Gyeong takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gyeong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Letang manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Letang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gyeong manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Letang is looking to stand up but Gyeong won't let him. Gyeong looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gyeong controls Letang momentarily but Letang frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Letang scoring with some ground and pound. Letang postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pierre Letang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gyeong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Letang controls the pace. Letang's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Letang wants to control from the top but Gyeong keeps moving. Letang looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Letang is standing up over Gyeong. Gyeong looks to escape but Letang dives into side control.
Gyeong can't do much from the bottom here. Letang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gyeong keeps working. Letang misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Letang staying calm. Gyeong is not content to let Letang control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Pierre Letang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Letang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
