Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ben Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jislaya Koshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Fowler has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Fowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jislaya Koshi!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koshi shoots in and bounces Fowler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Koshi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Koshi wants to control from the top but Fowler keeps moving.
Koshi postures up.
Koshi trying to control but Fowler is working from the bottom.
Fowler wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fowler pulls Koshi in close to his closed guard and prevents Koshi from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fowler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fowler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fowler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koshi is one step ahead there.

Koshi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fowler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koshi defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fowler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koshi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fowler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fowler can't keep his opponent in guard - Koshi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fowler is trying to get back to full guard.
Fowler is pressing down on Koshi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Koshi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fowler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koshi has managed to get both his arms back between Fowler's legs - danger averted.
Fowler is breathing heavily.

Koshi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Koshi postures up in Fowler's guard and throws a big left but Fowler blocks it.

Fowler is looking for a triangle but Koshi pushes his legs off easily.
Koshi postures up and lands a big shot to Fowler's brow.

Fowler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fowler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Koshi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Koshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fowler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fowler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koshi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Koshi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Koshi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Koshi chips away with some ground and pound.
Koshi trying to control the position from guard on top but Fowler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Koshi postures up.
Fowler keeping full guard, as Koshi tries to pass.
Koshi is looking to advance position but Fowler has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fowler controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jislaya Koshi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Koshi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fowler's guard.

Ben Fowler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fowler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fowler slips nicely into half guard.
Fowler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Koshi is in trouble now - Fowler has advanced to mount!
Fowler wants to control the pace but Koshi is squirming around nicely.
Fowler is really struggling to control Koshi but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fowler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Koshi can do to turn this around?

Fowler is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Koshi has managed to escape the submission attempt.
BOOM! Fowler connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Fowler jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Koshi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Koshi and Fowler has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Fowler dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Fowler closes the distance and clinches up with Koshi, looking for a takedown. Fowler pushes Koshi against the cage but Koshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fowler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Koshi controls the pace.
Koshi wants to pass the guard but Fowler is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Koshi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fowler manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fowler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Koshi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fowler to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Koshi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fowler pulls down on the head and he's put Koshi to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ben Fowler!
A very excited looking Ben Fowler rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
