The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Womack Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Womack Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Roach was well out of range. Poor timing from Womack Jr.
Roach bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Roach half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Womack Jr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Roach stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Roach counters by clinching up.

Womack Jr tries to break free but Roach pushes him back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Womack Jr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Roach.
Roach seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

It looked like Roach was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Womack Jr.
Roach really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Womack Jr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Roach steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Womack Jr.
Womack Jr throws a looping overhand right but Roach ducks down to avoid it.

A quick step to the side and Roach tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Roach fails with the takedown.
Womack Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Womack Jr fakes the body blow, causing Roach to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Roach goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
