Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Polichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Polichev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polichev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Griffin looks for a takedown but Polichev sprawls well.
Griffin closes the distance and clinches up with Polichev, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes Polichev against the cage but Polichev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Polichev throws a jab when Griffin was well out of range.
Griffin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Griffin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Polichev counters with a series of strikes. Griffin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ivan Polichev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Griffin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Polichev tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Polichev to the ground. Polichev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Griffin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Polichev definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Griffin shoots in looking for a takedown. Polichev tries to sprawl out of it but Griffin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Polichev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Polichev is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Polichev circles away and we're back to standing.

Griffin is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ivan Polichev will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Polichev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
