Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corak Hoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Dinunzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Dinunzio will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Corak Hoon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dante Dinunzio! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dinunzio fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've been informed that Dinunzio has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Hoon closes the distance and clinches. Hoon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dinunzio can't fight it off and eventually Hoon manages to take the fight to the floor. Dinunzio looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hoon controls from within his opponent's guard. Hoon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hoon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dinunzio swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dinunzio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoon has managed to get both his arms back between Dinunzio's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoon trying to control but Dinunzio is working from the bottom. Hoon lands a couple of digs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hoon advances position into side control! Hoon cracks Dinunzio with a big right hand but Dinunzio just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Dinunzio is rocked! Hoon wants to control but Dinunzio is keeping him busy. Hoon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dinunzio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hoon stands up and beckons Dinunzio to his feet. Hoon slips under a jab from Dinunzio. Hoon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Hoon dodges the punch combination from Dinunzio.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoon blocks a head kick by Dinunzio.
Hoon rushes Dinunzio and presses him up against the cage. Hoon has clasped his hands together around Dinunzio's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hoon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dinunzio has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hoon but great work by Dinunzio. You can see the frustration on Hoon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hoon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dinunzio's best efforts. Hoon is not content to let Dinunzio control the position. Dinunzio is thwarting Hoon's attempts to control the position. Hoon looking for submissions off his back. Dinunzio wants to take a breather but Hoon is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dinunzio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hoon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hoon is looking to improve his position.
Hoon is not content to let Dinunzio control the position. Hoon trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoon holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Hoon is trying to maintain the position but Dinunzio is very close to passing his half guard. Hoon desperately trying to maintain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corak Hoon dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dinunzio pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hoon back to the cage. Dinunzio follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Hoon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dinunzio did well to prevent Hoon getting side control. Hoon is thwarting Dinunzio's attempts to control the position. Hoon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dinunzio has managed to free his arm - good work. Hoon working Dinunzio over with strikes. Hoon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dinunzio can do to turn this around? Hoon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dinunzio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dinunzio moves into full guard.
Hoon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoon stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Dinunzio throws up his legs and catches Hoon in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Hoon tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Dinunzio! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dante Dinunzio!
