Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Skidopolopolous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Red could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bob Skidopolopolous's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Red! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Skidopolopolous! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Red darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Red misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Skidopolopolous.
Skidopolopolous unleashes a big counter combination but Red bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Red misses with a head kick.
Red rushes Skidopolopolous and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Skidopolopolous is looking to break free of the clinch but Red has double underhooks. Red is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Skidopolopolous to keep the fight standing. A short left from Skidopolopolous. Red tries to pull guard but Skidopolopolous won't allow it.
Red blocks the elbow strike.
Red is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Red is trying to break free. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Skidopolopolous smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Red. That's going to take a lot out of him. Red gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Red tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Red breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Skidopolopolous lands a big head kick that sends Red tumbling to the mat! Skidopolopolous takes a step backwards and waves Red back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like John Red has been cut. Red closes the distance and pushes Skidopolopolous back into the cage. Red wants to break the clinch but can't.

Red is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Skidopolopolous is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Red is keeping busy. Red blocks an elbow strike. Skidopolopolous drops Red onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Red is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Oh Red is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A left hand lands to the body for Skidopolopolous.
Red is breathing heavily. Red letting Skidopolopolous take a breather here. Red wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Skidopolopolous is looking to take this one to the mat. Red seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Skidopolopolous has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Red after a bit of a struggle. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Skidopolopolous just misses with a elbow thrown towards Red's brow. Skidopolopolous told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Red creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Red avoiding damage as Skidopolopolous throws knees to the body.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Skidopolopolous is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Red is keeping busy. Skidopolopolous avoiding damage as Red throws knees to the body.

Skidopolopolous escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Red shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skidopolopolous as he avoids it easily. Skidopolopolous tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Red swivels and escapes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skidopolopolous looks for a takedown but Red sprawls well. Red scores with a hook. Red is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Skidopolopolous avoids the body shot from Red.
Skidopolopolous turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Red misses with a wild body shot. Skidopolopolous lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. John Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Red misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Skidopolopolous leaves Red with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skidopolopolous swats him away and circles back towards the center. Skidopolopolous with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Red tries to clinch but Skidopolopolous is having none of it. Red on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Skidopolopolous. Skidopolopolous obviously looking to wear him down.
Red bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Skidopolopolous is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Red asserts his dominance and retains side control. Skidopolopolous managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Red.
Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Skidopolopolous is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Skidopolopolous dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Red's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Red closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Skidopolopolous wants to get back to his feet.
Skidopolopolous has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Red stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Red is nestled in close to Skidopolopolous, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red is taking a breather. Skidopolopolous says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Red trying to pass the guard but Skidopolopolous defending well. Red seems to be looking for submissions.
Red tries to pass the half guard into mount. Skidopolopolous knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Red's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Red thows a huge punch but Skidopolopolous dodges it nicely.
Red has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Skidopolopolous trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Skidopolopolous avoids a kick to the body.
Despite the aggression on Skidopolopolous's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Skidopolopolous lands with a kick to the ribs.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red is looking to clinch. Skidopolopolous throws a counter combo. The fight stays on the outside here - Skidopolopolous looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Skidopolopolous throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Red. Skidopolopolous shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Red sprawls well. Red wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Skidopolopolous gets slowly back to his feet. Red thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Skidopolopolous if he has to take too many more of those.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Red. Skidopolopolous is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Red swats away the attempt to clinch by Skidopolopolous. Red decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Red is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skidopolopolous defends it well. Skidopolopolous really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Red. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Well, if Red is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Skidopolopolous shoots in looking for a takedown. Red tries to sprawl out of it but Skidopolopolous keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Red manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A combination from Red does no damage. Skidopolopolous tries to sprawl but Red drives through with a takedown into half guard. Skidopolopolous is trying to stand up here but Red is controlling him well. Skidopolopolous is in trouble now - Red has advanced to mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red content just to control the position here. Skidopolopolous tries to reverse the position but Red maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Red takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Red lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Red stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skidopolopolous looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Red is looking to counter the offense by Skidopolopolous and move into the clinch. Skidopolopolous doesn't manage to clinch there - Red circles away.
Red throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Skidopolopolous was covering up waiting for the punch and Red finishes the takedown easily into guard. Skidopolopolous wants to get back to his feet but Red passes into half guard.
Red is looking to advance position but Skidopolopolous won't allow it. Red is taking a breather. Skidopolopolous says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red working the head and body with strikes. Red works his foot free and advances to mount. Red scoring with strikes but Skidopolopolous is staying in there. Skidopolopolous wants to control but Red is having none of it. Red working Skidopolopolous over with strikes here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Red moves to back control. Red has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Skidopolopolous has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Red biding his time, controlling Skidopolopolous. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Skidopolopolous trying to control the hands but Red won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! John Red showed his dominance in that final round. I think Red has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
