Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Spunkly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Le Herring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Herring 's choice of entrance music: Motörhead - One More Fucking Time. James Le Herring has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herring darts in and clinches Spunkly up against the cage.
Spunkly is fighting off a takedown attempt but Herring is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Spunkly to the mat. Spunkly regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Spunkly kicks Herring off and gets to his feet.
Spunkly drops Herring with a left right combo! Spunkly follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like James Le Herring has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spunkly slows the pace down.
Spunkly wants to control but Herring is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spunkly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Herring has escaped the position, nice work there.
Herring really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spunkly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spunkly looking to control but instead Herring has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Spunkly's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Spunkly wants to take a breather but Herring is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Spunkly connects with a nice short shot to Herring 's temple.
Spunkly slips a nice elbow through Herring 's hands, connecting with Herring 's forehead.
Spunkly thows a huge punch but Herring dodges it nicely.
Still in half guard, Spunkly seems content to control.
Herring blocking the ground and pound attempt from Spunkly.
Spunkly takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Herring manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Herring pushes Spunkly up against the cage in a clinch.
Spunkly drags the fight down to the ground.
Spunkly is looking for a triangle but Herring pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spunkly is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Herring is aware though and is defending well.
Herring won't allow Spunkly to get back to his feet.
Herring wants to stand but Spunkly has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Herring is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Spunkly is working an open guard so Herring takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Herring moves forwards but Spunkly connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Spunkly throws a series of punches but Herring moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Herring looking to throw knees to the head but Spunkly is blocking nicely.
Herring pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Spunkly throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Herring keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Herring clinches with his opponent.
Herring gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Spunkly tries to circle away but Herring has him pinned against the cage.
Spunkly has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Spunkly can't break the clinch.
Herring pushes Spunkly back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Spunkly takes a knee to the side of the body.
Spunkly is breathing heavily.

A frustrated look appears on Spunkly's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Herring lands an elbow inside that Spunkly shrugs off.
Spunkly is trying to force a seperation but Herring has the dominant position.
Herring jumps guard but Spunkly stands there with Herring around his waist. Herring gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Herring pulls guard effortlessly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Herring is pulling down on Spunkly's head to control his posture.
Spunkly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Spunkly is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Spunkly is fighting to break Herring 's control of his arms but Herring is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Herring wants to stand up but Spunkly is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Spunkly lands a nice uppercut.
Herring just leaning against Spunkly, taking a breather.

Spunkly wants to stand and escape but Herring is having none of it.

Herring decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Spunkly controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Spunkly stands and throws Herring 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Spunkly is trying to get an arm triangle but Herring is defending well.
Herring can't do much from the bottom here.

Spunkly has hold of Herring 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Herring tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Spunkly cranks the arm and Herring screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Herring , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
