The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Some wild striking there from Goodwin.
Steel Penn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Goodwin in his tracks.
Goodwin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Steel Penn sprawls well. Steel Penn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goodwin gets slowly back to his feet.
Steel Penn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goodwin drops his hands momentarily and Steel Penn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Goodwin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goodwin throws a strike but Steel Penn avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Goodwin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goodwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel Penn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Goodwin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Steel Penn looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Goodwin is defending well. Steel Penn quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Goodwin has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Steel Penn celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
