Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evan Payton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Payton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Blood! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And Blood tries to counter it with a takedown but Payton pushes his down on his head and steps out. Payton scores with a nice right hand.
Payton scores with a decent looking hook. Payton throws a hook to the side of Blood's head but Blood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Payton gets tackled into the cage by Blood. Blood maintains the clinch. Payton doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Blood jumps guard but Payton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Payton pushes off an throws an elbow but Blood leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Blood prevents a body shot from Payton. Blood manages to pull guard.
Our spies down at at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center inform us that Blood has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Payton content to stall in guard here. Payton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Payton trying to control but Blood is working from the bottom. Blood is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Payton is controlling him. Blood is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Payton preventing the sweep. Blood pulls Payton in close to prevent any damage. Blood trying to strike off his back.
Blood looking for a sweep. Not yet Blood, not yet. Payton wants to control from the top but Blood keeps moving. Payton looking to pass the guard. Payton postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A looping hook to the body misses from Payton. Blood does a little dance to reset his feet. Payton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blood takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Payton scores with the left hand. Blood knows he should have avoided that one. Jab, jab by Payton - just one landing. Payton throws a hook but Blood avoids it easily. Payton getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Payton misses the jab. Payton misses with a hook. Blood ducked under it nicely. Evan Payton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Blood uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Payton. Payton throws a poor cross that misses
and Blood counters with a single leg into guard. Payton didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blood distracts Payton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Payton throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Payton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Payton looking for a guillotine here but Blood defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payton can't keep his opponent in guard - Blood advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Blood is trying to control the action in half guard but Payton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Payton actively working from the bottom here. Blood is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Payton is just riding it out for now. Blood eventually gives up the hold. Blood is keen to just control but Payton is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Payton is doing well to control the position and prevent Blood from advancing to side control. We've been hearing good reports from Payton's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Payton trying to control here.
Blood is looking to take a break and control but Payton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Payton is looking to improve his position.
Payton looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Payton tries to roll over but Blood keeps him under control. Payton is not content to let Blood control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Payton dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blood looks for a takedown but Payton sprawls well. Payton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Blood decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Payton's guard. Payton is looking for a triangle but Blood pushes his legs off easily.
Payton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blood defends it easily. Payton has his foot on Blood's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blood works his way back into a safe position though. Blood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Payton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blood has managed to get both his arms back between Payton's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blood prevents Payton from getting back to his feet. Payton keeping moving, preventing Blood from controlling successfully. Payton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blood is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Payton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Payton working for a triangle but Blood defends it easily.
Blood's corner is telling him to maintain position. Payton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blood is aware though and is defending well. Blood is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Payton has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Blood is looking to defend but Payton has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Blood! Payton pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Blood taps out and this one is all over!
