Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Forest Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Eddiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Forest Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Eddiva! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eddiva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Eddiva. Rogers avoids the body shot from Eddiva.
Rogers tries to sprawl but Eddiva drives through with a takedown into half guard. Eddiva wants to stand but Rogers has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Eddiva scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rogers wants to improve his position but Eddiva is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eddiva throws a strike but Rogers avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Eddiva trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. Rogers controlling the position. Rogers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Eddiva sitting in guard here, content to control. Eddiva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Eddiva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rogers keeping moving, preventing Eddiva from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eddiva trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rogers's guard. Eddiva trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Eddiva throws a head kick that misses. Eddiva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rogers is looking for a sweep. Eddiva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Eddiva seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Rogers has recovered full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Eddiva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rogers looking for a sweep. Not yet Rogers, not yet. Eddiva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Eddiva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rogers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Eddiva looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. No luck with that takedown attempt from Eddiva. Eddiva tries to clinch up but Rogers circles away and keeps his distance. Eddiva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rogers's calf. Rogers takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A head kick by Eddiva misses and Rogers moves into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rogers pulls guard successfully.
Eddiva trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. Eddiva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Eddiva dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Eddiva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rogers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Eddiva tries for a takedown but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Eddiva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rogers did well to prevent Eddiva getting side control. Rogers has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Eddiva is on him like a limpet, forcing Rogers back against the cage. Rogers misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Eddiva.
Eddiva breaks from the clinch.
Eddiva throws a combination that misses and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Eddiva clobbers Rogers with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rogers tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Eddiva defends well and Rogers ends up having to push Eddiva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Eddiva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eddiva is in Rogers's guard. Eddiva is breathing heavily. Rogers is trying to keep Eddiva in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rogers holds on and takes a little breather. Eddiva passes Rogers's left leg - he's now in half guard. Eddiva is looking to take a break and control but Rogers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Eddiva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Eddiva advances position into side control! Rogers is looking for a sweep. Eddiva laying and praying for a moment but Rogers takes advantage and regains half guard. Eddiva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Eddiva has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Eddiva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rogers's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Eddiva is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rogers is not content to let Eddiva control the position. Eddiva tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rogers.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Eddiva is looking to clinch. Rogers throws a quick counter head kick but Eddiva was just out of range. Rogers fails with the takedown. Eddiva with the counter takedown but Rogers avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eddiva has closed the distance and engaged Rogers in a clinch.
Eddiva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rogers uses from the top position. Rogers throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Eddiva is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Rogers presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Rogers tries to pull guard but Eddiva won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forest Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Eddiva jumps guard and drags Rogers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Eddiva seems keen to control Rogers's posture. Eddiva trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Eddiva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Eddiva misses with a double jab
and Rogers holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Eddiva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Eddiva stalks Rogers and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rogers's face. Rogers staggers backwards, shaken.
Rogers is rocked!
It looks like Forest Rogers has been cut. Mark Eddiva seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rogers is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oh Rogers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Eddiva throws an overhand right that has Rogers reeling! Eddiva follows up with more punches and Rogers is out cold! This one is all over!
