Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerrold Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James O Neill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James O Neill will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerrold Vaughan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James O Neill ! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughan dives in and grabs O Neill 's left leg, looking for a takedown. O Neill pushes down on Vaughan's head and hops out. O Neill misses with a looping right. Vaughan takes one on the button.
It looks like Jerrold Vaughan has been cut. O Neill slaps away a takedown attempt from Vaughan, before circling back to the center of the mat. O Neill scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vaughan doesn't seem bothered though. Vaughan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. O Neill uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vaughan shoots in and gets a takedown into O Neill 's guard. O Neill pushes Vaughan off and gets back to his feet.
Vaughan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. O Neill did well to prevent Vaughan getting side control. O Neill has one foot on Vaughan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neill darts in and clinches Vaughan up against the cage. Vaughan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. O Neill ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. O Neill no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. O Neill working a defensive guard here.
Vaughan really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... O Neill kicks Vaughan off and gets to his feet. O Neill rushes Vaughan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. O Neill stalling in the clinch.
Vaughan is trying to drag O Neill to the mat but O Neill just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerrold Vaughan. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Neill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. O Neill tries to land a front kick but Vaughan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Neill cracks Vaughan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! O Neill throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
O Neill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vaughan was well out of range. Poor timing from O Neill . O Neill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vaughan to the mat! Vaughan manages to get full guard. O Neill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Vaughan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. O Neill pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vaughan is keeping the position for now. O Neill throwing strikes from guard but Vaughan blocks nicely. O Neill trying to control the position from guard on top but Vaughan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Neill not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. O Neill decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vaughan, up you get! O Neill moves into range and clinches up with Vaughan. Vaughan wants to take the fight to the mat but O Neill manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Vaughan is breathing heavily. O Neill stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
O Neill has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vaughan regains guard immediately. O Neill lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Neill scores with a decent looking elbow strike. O Neill slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. O Neill is looking to work some ground and pound but Vaughan has wrist control. O Neill with a nice head shot there. O Neill looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Neill advances to half guard. O Neill looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. O Neill is trying to control. Vaughan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James O Neill dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jerrold Vaughan's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
O Neill dives in and scores a takedown into Vaughan's guard. Vaughan wants to get back to his feet but O Neill is in a dominant position and won't allow it. O Neill postures up in Vaughan's guard and throws a big left but Vaughan blocks it. Vaughan being controlled here, momentarily. O Neill trying to control but Vaughan is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughan is trying to hold O Neill in close to prevent damage but O Neill has managed to pass into half guard.
O Neill content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neill lands a big elbow - Vaughan is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for O Neill !
