Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Loosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Bentner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bentner's choice of entrance music: My Dick. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Loosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Bentner! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loosa lands with a good body shot. Bentner ducks under a wild hook from Loosa. Loosa gets tackled into the cage by Bentner. Bentner maintains the clinch. A right hook to the body lands for Loosa.
Bentner tries to score a body lock takedown but Loosa shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bentner works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Bentner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bentner preventing the sweep. Bentner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Loosa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bentner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bentner tries for a takedown but Loosa circles away easily and Loosa counters with a lovely straight right hand! We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bentner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Good body shot from Loosa.
Bentner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Loosa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. I was talking to Loosa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Bentner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Loosa gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bentner trying to control the position from guard on top but Loosa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Loosa is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A looping hook to the body misses from Bentner. Loosa does a little dance to reset his feet. Bentner needs to keep his hands up - Loosa had a free shot at his head there. Nice defenses there by Bentner. Bentner walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good standup being displayed there by Loosa as he connects with a hook. Bentner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Loosa.

Loosa thows a left - swing and a miss! Nice sprawl there from Loosa as Bentner shoots in. Loosa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Loosa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bentner momentarily.

Bentner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bentner tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A shot to the liver by Loosa. Beautiful body shot. Loosa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bentner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Loosa. Bentner drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Loosa defends it well. Bentner misses with a shot to the body and Loosa counters with a nice body kick.

Bentner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Loosa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bentner with a flurry of punches that miss. Bentner sitting in guard here, content to control. Loosa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bentner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Loosa pulls Bentner in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Donk. Loosa catches Bentner right on the button with a cross. Loosa missing with a left hand there. Bentner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bentner walks into a jab. Victor Loosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Loosa forces Bentner back against the cage and clinches. Bentner drops down looking for an ankle pick but Loosa pulls his leg out and moves away.

Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bentner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Loosa getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bentner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
