Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Machine Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Battistoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gun walks into a straight right hand from Battistoni.
A big right from Gun misses.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Battistoni misses with a punch on the inside.
Battistoni throws a head punch that misses.
Gun throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Battistonis head.

Gun escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Battistoni throws a shot from downtown. Gun moves away and avoids it.
Gun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Battistoni swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gun lands a left and a right that send Battistoni crashing to the mat, dazed. Gun thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Battistoni feints and then cracks Gun's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gun down.
Battistoni throws a hook to the side of Gun's head but Gun sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gun swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Battistoni listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Battistoni blocks a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Gun misses the target.
Battistoni lands a jab to the nose.
Gun with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Battistoni to score with a decent uppercut.
Battistoni throws a nice looking combination but Gun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Battistoni looks to score with a jab to the body but Gun is just out of range.
Gun was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Battistoni lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Carson Battistoni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gun swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gun tries to clinch but Battistoni moves out of range.

Battistoni ducks under a wild hook from Gun.

Gun wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Battistoni bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've been told by Gun's head coaches at Heart Cave (10 elites, 3 double-elites, 1 triple) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A combination from Gun does no damage.
Gun takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Battistoni jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gun is looking to counter punch.
Gun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gun looks to score with a jab to the body but Battistoni is just out of range.
Gun throws a jab but it's blocked by Battistoni.
Battistoni lands with a cross.
Gun is rocked!
Gun takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gun lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Battistoni circles away quickly and effectively.
Battistoni cracks Gun on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Gun falls backwards against the cage. Battistoni follows up with more strikes that drop Gun to his knees. Battistoni keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Gun! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carson Battistoni!
After winning the bout, Carson Battistoni thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
