Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carey Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Carey Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris McDonald! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McDonald as he jumps to the side. Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Williams shoots in for a takedown but McDonald shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carey Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDonald scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. McDonald working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. McDonald looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Williams is avoiding damage well.
Williams stops McDonald from passing to mount. McDonald is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Williams prevents McDonald from moving into mount. Williams is looking for a sweep. Williams is working hard here to advance position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McDonald has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McDonald smiles and moves away.
Williams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McDonald decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Williams's guard. McDonald thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Williams is looking for a triangle but McDonald pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams is breathing heavily. McDonald avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams throws his legs up looking for a submission but McDonald uses it to pass to side control.
McDonald tries to move into full mount but can't pass Williams's legs. McDonald trying to control the position but Williams is working away. Williams tries to improve position but can't. McDonald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McDonald gets to mount! Williams was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Williams is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
McDonald has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Williams's face.
Williams regains half guard. McDonald thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McDonald has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Williams defend it? McDonald steps over the head and cranks it - Williams is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McDonald!
