Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Eye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Eye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew West! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eye closes this distance looking for a takedown but West circles away. West cracks a nice hook into Eye's ribs. West looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Eye takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A combination from West does no damage. West lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Eye backs up against the cage.
Eye walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Eye shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and West counters with a three punch combo that has Eye backing up. Eye nods at West to acknowledge the strikes. Eye shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts West as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Eye. That's going to take a lot out of him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! West scores with a three punch combo!
Eye tries for a takedown but West sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Eye feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Eye trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. West trying to keep a closed guard but Eye is proving a slippery customer.
Eye is in close to West's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. West utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Eye preventing the sweep. Eye in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Eye looking to pass the guard. Eye throwing strikes but missing. West is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if West can do anything to dispel that myth. West utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Eye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. West swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. West wants to stand up but Eye is controlling him. Eye trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Eye is really struggling to control West but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eye throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as West works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Eye throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. West seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Eye shoots for a double leg takedown but West sprawls well. He's pushed Eye's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eye shoots in but West avoids the takedown attempt easily. Eye has his takedown stuffed and West counters with a straight right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West misses with a wild combination.
Daniel Eye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eye on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. West cracks Eye with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Eye is defended easily by West. Eye has a takedown stuffed. Eye fails to land the takedown. Eye avoids a punch combination nicely.
West scores to the head and body with a nice combination! West lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Eye tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but West swivels and escapes. Despite the aggression on West's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eye with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Eye on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by West. West obviously looking to wear him down.
West misses with a double jab.
Eye tries to counter with a takedown but West is quick to defend against it. West lands a glancing blow to the side of Eye's head. Eye closes this distance looking for a takedown but West circles away. As Eye backs off West throws a huge counter combo but Eye manages to avoid it all. West's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and West duly obliges. West clobbers Eye with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. West's corner calls for a 1-2. West obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. West is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Eye had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. West throws a good cross that connects.
West has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Eye is landing a low percentage of strikes. Eye takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Eye tries for a takedown but West sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. West is working the combinations to good effect here. West clobbers Eye with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Eye shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and West counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. West scores with a three punch combo!
Eye is rocked! Eye closes this distance looking for a takedown but West circles away. Eye changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. West tries to avoid it but Eye manages to keep hold of a leg and drag West to the ground. West escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew West dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

West stuffs the takedown attempt from Eye. Eye gets slowly back to his feet. West looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Eye has his takedown stuffed and West connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. West's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and West duly obliges. Horrible takedown attempt by Eye or perhaps it was just good defense by West, which made it look bad. And an attempted straight right on the counter from West! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Eye. That's going to take a lot out of him. Eye misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Eye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eye shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts West as he jumps to the side. Daniel Eye is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Eye walks into a left hand. Eye misses with a takedown attempt enabling West to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eye goes for a double leg but West avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as West continues to drive forward. West connects with a single shot there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. West scores with a three punch combo!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Eye. Andrew West is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. West dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Eye looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. West lands a jab to the nose. West lands a nice shot that snaps Eye's head back.
West scores with a jab to the jaw. West throws a one two combo.
Oh Eye is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! West lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Eye at a distance.
Eye looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Eye takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Eye fails with the takedown and West counters with a left and a right... And another left! Eye is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew West! Andrew West decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
