The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhammad shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Muhammad was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ness is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd cheers as Muhammad lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ness doesn't seem phased though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ness looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ness throws a hook but Muhammad avoids it easily.

Mehmet Muhammad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ness wants to control the position but Muhammad says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Muhammad in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ness tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Muhammad!
