Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harald Udd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Schopenhauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harald Udd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Harald Udd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arthur Schopenhauer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Udd misses with a hook

and Schopenhauer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schopenhauer.
Schopenhauer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Udd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Schopenhauer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Udd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schopenhauer on the ground.
Udd pulls Schopenhauer in close to prevent any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Schopenhauer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Udd is just riding it out for now. Schopenhauer eventually gives up the hold.

Schopenhauer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Udd doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schopenhauer.

Schopenhauer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Udd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Schopenhauer but great work by Udd.

You can see the frustration on Schopenhauer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Schopenhauer is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Udd is staying active.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Schopenhauer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fighters circling - Udd throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Schopenhauer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Schopenhauer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Udd is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Schopenhauer looking to take Udd's back but Udd rolls and after a scramble, Udd ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Udd to escape a tricky position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Schopenhauer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Udd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Schopenhauer holds on and takes a little breather.
Schopenhauer is continuing to stall.

Udd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schopenhauer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Udd has managed to get both his arms back between Schopenhauer's legs - danger averted.
Schopenhauer has Udd pulled in close to control his posture.

Schopenhauer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Udd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Schopenhauer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Arthur Schopenhauer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Schopenhauer working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Udd is doing well to defend. Schopenhauer seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Udd is forced to tap and this one is over!
