The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather wants to clinch but Jackiewicz slips to the side
and Jackiewicz counters with a thumping low kick.

and Jackiewicz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Jackiewicz counters with a good low kick that Mayweather was not able to check.

Jackiewicz leaves Mayweather with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mayweather throws the left hand but Jackiewicz avoids the punch easily.
Jackiewicz was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

and Jackiewicz counters with a stiff right hand.

Jackiewicz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mayweather.

Jackiewicz feints and then cracks Mayweather's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mayweather down.
Mayweather steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jackiewicz. That one must have hurt.

Jackiewicz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mayweathers head.
Mayweather is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Jackiewicz cracks the inside of Mayweather's front leg.

Jackiewicz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mayweather crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jackiewicz - the referee stops the clock and Mayweather gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jackiewicz. Mayweather manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jackiewicz is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mayweather had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Good leg kick by Jackiewicz there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jackiewicz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
