Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garik Harlamov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Abbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Garik Harlamov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Abbot lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harlamov doesn't seem phased though. Harlamov fails with a takedown attempt. We've been hearing reports that Harlamov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. No luck with that takedown attempt from Harlamov. Harlamov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garik Harlamov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abbot misses with a looping right. Abbot misses with a looping left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harlamov closes the distance and clinches up with Abbot, looking for a takedown. Harlamov pushes Abbot against the cage but Abbot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Abbot throws a body shot but no joy. Harlamov shoots and misses so Abbot counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Harlamov is breathing heavily. Harlamov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Abbot defends it easily. Abbot trying to control the position from guard on top but Harlamov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbot works a leg free and moves into half guard. Harlamov trying to control from the bottom.
Harlamov actively working from the bottom here. Abbot is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Harlamov defends it well. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Abbot trying to control from half guard but Harlamov is working away. Harlamov is trying to maintain the position but Abbot is very close to passing his half guard. Harlamov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Harlamov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Abbot pulls his head out easily. Abbot wants to work for an arm triangle but Harlamov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Harlamov is not content to let Abbot control the position. Abbot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abbot is just content to waste time from the top position. Harlamov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Abbot looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Harlamov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Abbot defends well. Abbot wants to control from the top but Harlamov keeps moving. Harlamov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Harlamov keeping moving, preventing Abbot from controlling successfully. Abbot is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harlamov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harlamov has escaped and now he's on top! Abbot is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Harlamov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Harlamov works over Abbot with some ground and pound from guard. Abbot is trying to control the position but Harlamov postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Harlamov throwing strikes but missing. Harlamov won't allow Abbot to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Abbot dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Harlamov shoots and misses enabling Abbot to counter with a crisp jab. Harlamov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Harlamov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Abbot defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garik Harlamov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abbot throws a big shot that misses. Harlamov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good shot there by Abbot. Tony Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Abbot misses. Abbot has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A left lands for Abbot. Harlamov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbot lands with an overhand left. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Abbot jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Harlamov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Abbot throws out a loose jab but Harlamov uses good head movement to avoid it. Abbot throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Abbot shoots in and bounces Harlamov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Abbot wants to pass the guard but Harlamov is keeping the position. Harlamov keeping moving, preventing Abbot from controlling successfully. Abbot is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Harlamov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Abbot is looking to defend but Harlamov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Abbot! Harlamov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Abbot taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Garik Harlamov! A relieved looking Garik Harlamov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
