Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kruger Vance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vance comes to the cage accompanied by Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck. Sonnen has chosen Chael Sonnen - Entrance song (Too much fun) as his entrance music. Chael Sonnen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vance counters with a stiff right hand.
Sonnen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vance sprawls well initially but Sonnen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Vance is looking to improve his position.
Vance moves into full guard.
Vance trying to keep a closed guard but Sonnen is proving a slippery customer.
Sonnen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sonnen pushes Vance away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vance gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sonnen shoots and misses
and Vance counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sonnen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vance gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kruger Vance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen.

Our sources have told us that Vance has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Sonnen tries for a takedown but Vance manages to get underhooks.
Sonnen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vance lands a hook that snaps the head of Sonnen backwards.
Vance lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sonnen backwards.
Sonnen is rocked!
Vance lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Sonnen is still on wobbly legs! Can Vance finish him?

Vance throws a big uppercut that drops Sonnen! More strikes from Vance and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Sonnen lies dazed against the cage as Vance celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kruger Vance!
A very excited looking Kruger Vance rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
