Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bust Faces (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mat Trzeci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faces has a takedown stuffed.
Trzeci drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Faces defends it well.
Faces has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Trzeci finds it's way round the side to connect with Faces's head.
Faces shoots in looking for a takedown but Trzeci manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Faces's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Trzeci moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Trzeci is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Trzeci closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Faces's guard.

Faces wants to sweep here but Trzeci controlling him for the moment.

Faces had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trzeci defends it easily.

Faces decides to stand back up. Faces steps back and let's Trzeci get back to his feet.

A head kick by Faces misses

and Trzeci counters with a shoot takedown. Faces fights it but they end up in guard.

Faces has his feet on Trzeci's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Trzeci counters with a left and a right that stings Faces.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Trzeci postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Faces takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trzeci scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Faces to see if he's OK.
Trzeci lands a few punches from side control.
Trzeci throws an elbow but Faces slips to the side and avoids it well.
Faces takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Trzeci has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Horrible takedown attempt by Faces or perhaps it was just good defense by Trzeci, which made it look bad.

Faces gets the takedown into side control.
Trzeci bucks up and tries to throw Faces off but instead Faces has got his back!
Trzeci is taking damage to the body and head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Faces has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Trzeci's body.

Faces is looking for the choke from the back position but Trzeci is controlling his hands well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faces lands with a hammerfist to the side of Trzeci's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
I would not like to be Trzeci right now.

Faces slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Faces has good solid back control here.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Faces's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Faces controlling well, preventing Trzeci from escaping the position.
Trzeci is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Faces's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bust Faces seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Faces closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Trzeci did well to prevent Faces getting side control.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Faces.

Faces changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trzeci looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Faces is looking to take a break and control but Trzeci is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Faces remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Faces has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Faces lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trzeci circles away quickly and effectively.
Trzeci tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Faces shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trzeci sprawls well. Trzeci wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Faces gets slowly back to his feet.
Mat Trzeci is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
