Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between RP McMurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Imperiex Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMurphy comes to the cage accompanied by I'm a Solider - Tupac. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, RP McMurphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Imperiex Prime!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMurphy slips a straight right by Prime.
Prime misses with a few strikes there.

McMurphy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McMurphy won't allow Prime to sweep him here.
Prime looking to control.
Prime is looking to stand back up but McMurphy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Prime.
McMurphy scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Prime felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
McMurphy wants to pass to mount but Prime is defending the position.
Prime makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Prime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McMurphy trying to control but Prime is working from the bottom.

Prime working for a triangle but McMurphy defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMurphy stops Prime from standing up.

McMurphy winds up and cracks Prime with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Prime is staying active underneath McMurphy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McMurphy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McMurphy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Prime keeps working.
McMurphy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Prime is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Prime controlling the position for now.
McMurphy stops Prime from getting back to his feet.

Prime is looking for a sweep. McMurphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McMurphy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Prime wants to improve his position but McMurphy is controlling well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prime can do anything to dispel that myth.
Prime trying to control but McMurphy postures up.
McMurphy prevents Prime from improving his position.
McMurphy drops an elbow to the side of Prime's head.
McMurphy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Prime misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Prime is trying to stand.
McMurphy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Prime is trying to stand up here but McMurphy is controlling him well.
Prime is trying to maintain the position but McMurphy is very close to passing his half guard.

McMurphy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
McMurphy works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Prime controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
McMurphy lands with a punch from half guard.
Prime is looking for a sweep. McMurphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McMurphy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Prime tries to get to full guard but McMurphy has control of the leg.

McMurphy moves nicely into side control.
Prime tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Prime gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Prime wants to hold on but McMurphy pushes him away.
BOOM! McMurphy connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Prime is rocked!
McMurphy controlling from mount.
Prime is still in real trouble! Can McMurphy finish him?
A big strike lands for McMurphy! That's really hurt Prime and he's turned his back - McMurphy keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! McMurphy jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). RP McMurphy!
RP McMurphy made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Thank you everybody for coming. My opponent, hats off to you, thanks for the great fight, all respect. My coaches and Team Burns helped me so much, thank you. I will continue to shock and inspire nations'.
