Starseed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bass Nectar- Take You Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donatelli blocks a head kick by Starseed.
Donatelli gets caught napping as Starseed dives in and scores a takedown. Donatelli manages to retain guard.
Starseed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Donatelli looking to hit a scissor sweep but Starseed is one step ahead there.
Donatelli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Starseed wants to get back to full guard but Donatelli has mounted him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Starseed is controlling an arm, preventing Donatelli from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Donatelli can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Starseed is looking to escape.

Starseed is trying to reverse the position but instead Donatelli has taken his back - oops!

Starseed rolls, trying to escape but Donatelli keeps control of the position.

Donatelli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Donatelli slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Starseed is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Donatelli controlling the positon.

Starseed manages to reverse the position and now he's in Donatelli's guard. Nice work there by Starseed.
Starseed wants to control from the top but Donatelli keeps moving.

Starseed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Starseed throws a strike but Donatelli rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Our spies down at at Broken Halo's -Temple of Illumination inform us that Starseed has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Starseed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Donatelli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Starseed looking to control.
Starseed is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Donatelli has his hands clasped together but Starseed extends and breaks Donatelli's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Starseed.
