Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Danza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danza has chosen Who's the Boss as his entrance music. Thiago Rua has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rua pinned against the cage. Rua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Danza circles away from the clinch attempt.
Danza gets the takedown into side control.
Rua is trying to buck Danza off.
Rua tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Danza wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rua, who protects the arm well.
Rua is looking for a sweep.
Rua prevents Danza from moving into mount.
Danza is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rua knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Rua is trying to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Rua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Danza advances to mount.

Rua holds on, trying desperately to control.
Rua keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rua wants to hold on but Danza pushes him away.
Danza prevents Rua from getting the reversal.
Danza throws some wild stikes that Rua manages to avoid easily.
Rua is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Danza is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rua has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Rua tries to reverse the position but Danza maintains control.
Danza tries to control but Rua wriggling away.
Danza has hold of Rua's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rua manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Danza jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rua manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Danza looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rua is trying to get back to half guard.
Rua wants to get back to his feet but Danza drags him back down.
Danza trying to control the position but Rua is working away.
Danza tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Danza has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rua is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Danza has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rua prevents Danza from improving position.
Rua tries to bench press Danza off him but Danza keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Danza looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Danza wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving.
Danza might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rua kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Danza stops Rua from standing up.
Danza gets to his feet. Rua looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Danza takes a swing at Rua's ribcage but misses.
Danza drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rua wants to sweep but no luck.
Danza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rua looking for a sweep. Not yet Rua, not yet.
Danza wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving.

Danza would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Danza postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rua wants to stand but Danza is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Danza looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rua wants to get back to his feet.
Danza is working for a kimura but Rua is defending it quite comfortably.
Danza controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Danza dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Danza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Danza trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Danza drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Danza as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rua screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Danza! Nice submission victory there!
