Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Augusto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Bruce Lee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Augusto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Augusto is just out of range. Lee looks to land a combination but Augusto avoids it well. Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee throws a right and a left that Augusto avoids nicely. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lee.
Augusto shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well. Augusto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Augusto shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Augusto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Augusto shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Augusto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Augusto was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee. Augusto blocks a head kick by Lee.
Lee throws a series of punches but Augusto avoids them all with ease. Lee cracks a nice hook into Augusto's ribs. Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Augusto. Lee works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Augusto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Augusto stops Lee from standing up. Lee is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Augusto dives into side control.
Lee looks gassed! Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lee is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to bench press Augusto off him but Augusto keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Augusto avoids the body shot from Lee.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Augusto is just out of range. Lee has his takedown stuffed and Augusto counters with a shoot takedown. Lee fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Augusto scoring with some ground and pound. Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy. Augusto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Augusto slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lee is looking to get back to his feet here but Augusto is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lee's back. Lee is trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lee is really stuck here.
Lee is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Augusto gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Augusto scores with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Douglas Augusto will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Augusto decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Augusto trying to pass the guard but Lee defending well. Lee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Augusto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Augusto's back! What can Augusto do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's one minute gone in the round. Augusto is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Augusto tries to escape but Lee has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Lee wants to control but Augusto is keeping busy. Lee gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Lee is looking to control Augusto but Augusto is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Augusto is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lee.
Augusto prevents Lee from getting a body triangle. Lee biding his time, looking for the opening.
Despite being in the dominant position, Bruce Lee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice shot by Lee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Augusto counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lee wants to get back to his feet. Augusto drops an elbow to the side of Lee's head. Lee is trying to maintain the position but Augusto is very close to passing his half guard. Lee is trying to stand.
Augusto passes into side control, despite Lee's attempt to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Augusto working away. Lee wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Augusto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Augusto lands in his opponent's guard. Lee wants to get back to his feet but Augusto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Augusto postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Douglas Augusto dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Augusto on that attempt. Lee throws a head kick that misses. Lee scores with a kick to the body.

Lee is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Augusto tries for a takedown but Lee circles away easily and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Augusto will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Augusto scores a takedown into full mount! Lee is looking to get to half guard. Lee wants to hold on but Augusto pushes him away. Lee gets back to half guard. Lee tries to get to full guard but Augusto has control of the leg. Lee tries to kick Augusto off but Augusto keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee pushes Augusto off and gets back to his feet. Augusto scores with a takedown into Lee's guard. Lee scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee pulls Augusto in close to prevent any damage. Lee is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lee wants to stand up but Augusto is controlling him. Bruce Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Augusto throwing strikes but missing. Douglas Augusto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Douglas Augusto showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Augusto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
