Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewey Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howell has chosen Bodies as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dave Howell will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dewey Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Howell! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Howell as he jumps to the side. Peters swings away with a leg kick that misses. Peters closes the distance and clinches up with Howell, looking for a takedown. Peters pushes Howell against the cage but Howell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Howell as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dewey Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peters throws a nice looking combination but Howell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Peters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peters misses with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peters throws a series of punches but Howell moves out of range. Howell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Howell is looking to clinch. Howell moves into range and connects with a jab. Howell fails with a takedown attempt. Howell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howell is tying to control. Peters wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Howell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Howell is pressing down on Peters's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peters is holding on for now. Peters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Howell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peters keeps working. Peters tries to roll over but Howell keeps him under control. Howell wants to stand up but Peters is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Howell misses with a head shot. Peters uses the momentum to regain guard. Howell sitting in guard, not really doing much. Howell lands a couple of elbows. Peters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Howell wants to control from the top but Peters keeps moving. Howell stops Peters from standing up. Peters keeping moving, preventing Howell from controlling successfully. Howell looks gassed! Peters can't keep his opponent in guard - Howell advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peters controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Howell dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Peters instigates a clinch. Peters breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Peters tries to clinch up and Howell counters with an outside leg kick.
Peters lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Peters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peters misses with a combination
and Howell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Peters keeping full guard, as Howell tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howell forces his way into half guard. Howell is breathing heavily. Howell trying to control from half guard but Peters is working away. Peters wants to get back to full guard. Peters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peters tries to get out of the position. Howell trying to control from half guard but Peters is working away. Peters wants to improve his position but Howell is controlling well.
Peters moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Howell wants to pass the guard but Peters is keeping the position. Howell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Peters looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Peters looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Peters! A lull in the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howell is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters stands up and we're back to a striking position. Peters with a lazy takedown attempt and Howell counters with an inside leg kick. Peters tries for a takedown but Howell circles away easily and Howell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peters won't be happy with that. Peters is trying to control Howell's posture but Howell avoids it. Who's going to make the next move? Howell working the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peters is looking for a sweep. Peters struggling a bit here. Howell is putting a hurting on Peters here, landing some big shots from side control. I wouldn't like to be where Peters is right now. Howell wants to control but Peters is keeping him busy. Howell goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Peters has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Howell but great work by Peters. Howell struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Howell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Howell keeps the fight on the outside. Howell moves into the clinch. Howell with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howell tries for a takedown but Peters manages to get underhooks.
Peters wants to get back to striking at distance but Howell won't allow it.
Peters tries to break the clinch but Howell is controlling the position. Peters wants to break free but Howell has control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peters gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Howell.
Dewey Peters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Howell. Howell drops down looking for an ankle pick but Peters pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters misses with a takedown attempt - Howell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Peters doesn't succeed with the takedown and Howell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Peters wants to get back to full guard. Peters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Howell on the ground. Howell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peters is just riding it out for now. Howell eventually gives up the hold. Dave Howell has got the better of the ground game so far. Howell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peters knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Peters is not content to let Howell control the position. Howell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Peters kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Peters wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Howell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peters does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Howell throws a series of strikes that have Peters backpedaling.
Howell is looking to clinch. Howell misses with a takedown attempt and Peters counters with a takedown into side control. Howell regains half guard there - taking advantage of Peters's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Peters prevents Howell from standing back up.
Peters tries to pass to full mount but Howell defends it. Howell moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Peters avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Peters content to stall in guard here. Dewey Peters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Howell has his feet on Peters's thighs here. He's pushed Peters off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Peters screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
