Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cubert Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shlemenko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Omarion Ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko - Post To Be. Cubert Rua told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko has Rua up against the cage in a clinch.
Shlemenko lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Shlemenko lands a body shot in the clinch.
Shlemenko lands on the inside with an uppercut.
We've been informed that Rua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Still in the clinch, Shlemenko scores with a nice short uppercut.
A short left from Shlemenko.
Rua is trying to maintain a safe position but Shlemenko gets an underhook and turns Rua into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Rua is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Shlemenko has denied him.
Shlemenko throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rua s head.
It looks like Cubert Rua has been cut.
Shlemenko lands a left hand.
A short uppercut from Shlemenko.
Rua 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Rua is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shlemenko unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Rua ! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Shlemenko is unloading with more strikes now! Rua drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Shlemenko!
