The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiroo doesn't manage to clinch there - Konna circles away.
Konna fails to land with a series of punches.
Konna misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shiroo only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Shiroo scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Shiroo throws a sloppy head kick and Konna moves out of range easily.
Konna lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Tetsuya Shiroo has been cut.
Shiroo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Shiroo lands a head kick!
It looks like Antti Konna has been cut.
Konna rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shiroo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shiroo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Konna throws a right and a left that Shiroo avoids nicely.
Shiroo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Shiroo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Konna throws a poor cross that misses
and Shiroo counters with a nice leg kick.
Shiroo staying out of range there.
We've been told by Konna's head coaches at V Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A solid leg kick lands there for Shiroo.
Shiroo dodges the punch combination from Konna.
Shiroo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shiroo waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Konna. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Konna to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Konna is rocked!
Shiroo forces his way into half guard.
Oh Konna is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shiroo stalling.
Shiroo works his way into side control.
Shiroo is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Konna looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shiroo gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Konna is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shiroo lets go of the hold and Konna can pop his arm back in it's socket.
